When it comes to fitness programs even the boot camp variety it is important that you ensure that you warm up correctly before you begin your exercises. If you fail to warm up in the correct manner then you will find that you will not be able to get the best out of the exercises that you are performing. It may seem boring but it is also important that you know how to warm up before a fitness workout to ensure that you do not injure yourself once you start doing the exercises.
In this article we offer a few points that should be kept in mind by you prior to beginning any kind of boot camp workout in the future.
1. When you are warming up before you begin exercising we would recommend you wear some thick clothing. Not only will this help you with retaining the heat that your body has generated but wearing this clothing will help to keep your muscles warm and they will be much better prepared when you start exercising.
2. Before you begin exercising and the first thing you need to do as part of your warm up regime is to carry out some very simple breathing exercises. Also continue to do them as you are actually warming up. By doing these breathing exercises you are helping to get more oxygen into your body and as a result you will find yourself feeling much more alert and alive as you do start to exercise. Remember that the more oxygen your body has taken in then the more focused you will become on doing the exercises and of course doing them correctly.
3. A lot of people feel that you need only to warm up for a couple of minutes but before you begin any boot camp workouts we would highly recommend that you warm up for at least 5 minutes. By doing a few twists, turns and stretches you are getting the blood flowing more around your body and this in turn will help to get more oxygen to those areas of your body where it is needed when exercising. Also as you warm up it is a good idea to check your pulse regularly as this will help you to actually determine when is the best time to begin the formal part of your workout regime.
4. If when you are performing any boot camp exercises as part of your workout you start to suffer from any form of muscle cramp then we would suggest you immediately stop doing it and rest for a little bit. The return to you doing your warm up routine once again. Not only will this help to alleviate the cramp that you are feeling at present it will also help to ensure that no more will occur when you carry on with your exercise regime.
5. One of the other things to do with regards to how to warm up before a fitness regime and which will actually make doing your bootcamp workout more enjoyable is to listen to some music when doing yours. As you are warming up make sure that you try to keep up with the beat of the music.
